Meet Your Teacher
Hi! I’m Shelby Dillon. I’ve been painting for 15 years. I also teach new artists how to capture the image in their mind. And I can show you how to do it, too.
When I first started, it was a now-familiar struggle:
I’d see a beautiful ocean scene and its energy would fade under my brush, a gorgeous bird’s feathers would fall flat on my canvas, and streaming sunlight lost its glow when I painted it.
So I know how it feels to want to paint and have no idea how to get started - or unblocked!
That’s why I created the Painting of the Month Club; So soon-to-be-artists can create beautiful work even if they’ve never picked up a brush.
I included everything I wanted when I first started: Someone to explain every single step along the way from what supplies are needed, to how to mix paint, to how to decide what to paint.
